Trailing the CAC 40 pack, Kering stock loses nearly 14% in one month
The luxury group owning Gucci and Saint Laurent extends its decline mid-session, despite the CAC 40 trending upward. Two brokerage houses have revised their price targets downward, as the technical configuration of the stock remains deteriorated.
Two price targets lowered, including Morgan Stanley's, reduced from €320 to €250
Kering stock fell 1.96% to €213.05 during the session, while the CAC 40 gained 0.75%. The stock ranks among the strongest declines in the index: the end of summer has been challenging for the sector, and a slowdown is expected for year-end. The two analyst opinions published this Friday point in the same direction.
Morgan Stanley lowers its target from €320 to €250 with an in-line rating, representing an upside potential of approximately 17% relative to the current price. Oddo BHF brings its target down from €255 to €248 and remains neutral, leaving potential close to 16%. In both cases, the target remains above the current price, and the implicit upside potential of over 16% is coupled with a half-year publication marked by a net profit attributable to the group down 60% to €189 million, announced on July 29, 2026, and Gucci revenue declining 5% on a comparable basis.
A price below its moving averages, 18% below its 200-day MA after -13.8% in one month
Today's decline adds to a series of drops that leaves the stock at -13.8% over one month and -5.6% over one week. The price is below its 20-day MA (€232.40, gap of 8.33%), its 50-day MA (€251.73, gap of 15.37%) and its 200-day MA (€260.52, gap of 18.22%). The support level at €217.30 has been breached downward, while the RSI at 34 remains close to an oversold zone without reaching it.
The group launched on October 1st its training structure Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze. The group's next earnings publication will cover the third quarter of 2026.
