Ubisoft Entertain Stock Rises 2% Aiming for its 50-Day Moving Average
The French video game publisher is seeing a rebound in early afternoon trading in a Paris market that is significantly on the rise. The stock is attempting to reconnect with its 50-day moving average after several sessions of decline, while selling pressure remains a significant underlying issue for the stock.
A Technical Rebound Brings the Stock Back to its 50-Day MA at €4.88
Ubisoft Entertain stock is up 1.99% at €4.87 in early afternoon trading, in an SBF 120 that is up 1.78% and a CAC 40 that has risen by 1.83%. The stock is returning to its 50-day moving average at €4.88, which had acted as a ceiling in recent sessions. Above this, the 20-day MA at €5.18 remains out of immediate reach, with the price being 6% below this benchmark. The 200-day MA at €6.09 confirms a still deteriorating long-term trend, with the stock down nearly 50% over the year. The RSI at 42 remains neutral, showing no signs of seller exhaustion. Today's rebound mitigates the weekly decline of 5.3% but does not erase it.
A Receding Short-Selling Pressure by 1.5 Points Over a Month
According to reviewed statements, eleven funds hold a net short position of 13.74% of the capital, down by 1.45 points over thirty days (15.19% a month ago). The level remains high and reflects a structural bearish bet by institutional investors on the stock, although the trend is towards lightening, indicating a start of covering without massive capitulation. This financial backdrop follows the annual results for 2025-2026 (published on May 20th) which reported a significant non-IFRS operating loss of €1,044.7 million and a decline in net bookings by 17.4%. During this announcement, the group mentioned a stronger content pipeline expected for the fiscal years 2027-28 and 2028-29, and a reduction of net debt to €187.3 million. The stock fluctuates between its support at €4.68 and its 50-day MA at €4.88, the successful long-term reconquest of which will determine the continuation of the movement.
