On Tuesday in Paris, Valeo unveiled a new Ineez charging station incorporating Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology and the ISO 15118-20 communication protocol. This innovation transforms the charging point into an active management platform capable of optimizing bidirectional energy flows between the vehicle and the network.
A Bidirectional AC Station with Secure Communication Protocol
The new Ineez station presented at the Drive to Zero expo combines Vehicle-to-Grid bidirectional charging with the ISO 15118-20 protocol, establishing a universal and secure interface between the vehicle and the station. Valeo's embedded software allows for flexible integration of country-specific network codes. This solution meets the needs for electrical grid flexibility by enabling real-time interaction between the vehicle and the grid. The sharing of energy data optimizes costs and secures bidirectional flows, transforming the traditional charging point into a key player in the energy transition.
