Vivendi stock breaks through its €1.56 resistance after a five-year low
The media and entertainment group is making a clear recovery in trading, in a Paris market slightly oriented upward. The stock thus exits a prolonged decline phase and regains ground on its short-term moving averages.
A resistance at €1.56 broken during the session, above the MA50
Vivendi shares gain 2.37% to €1.5580 in trading, after approaching its €1.56 resistance and maintaining it during the session. The price is now above the MA20 (€1.46, up 6.71%) and the MA50 (€1.55, up 0.52%), while the MA200 remains far above at €1.98. This rebound of more than 7% over the week comes after the five-year low touched at the end of September, when the stock had broken through its €1.45 support.
However, it remains down nearly 19% over three months, so the recovery only erases part of the decline. The CAC 40 advances 0.28% and the SBF 120 rises 0.36% at the same time.

Vivendi publishes its third quarter 2026 results on October 20. During the first half 2026 results, published on September 3, the group pointed to the decline in Universal Music Group's share price (-34.1% since January 1, 2026), which reduces the value of its investment portfolio. It also mentioned the launch of Bluey's Happy Snaps, scheduled for the second half of 2026 for Gameloft, among its growth drivers.
