Vivendi shares among the sharpest declines on the SBF 120, losing 3.5%
The media and entertainment group retreated significantly during the session, in a Paris market that is treading water. The decline extends a difficult year for the holding, whose value has been heavily eroded.
A decline of 3.4% that places Vivendi at the bottom of the SBF 120
Vivendi shares fell 3.4% to €1.51 by late afternoon, while the SBF 120 remained stable. The stock ranks among the index's sharpest declines, alongside JCDecaux, Eutelsat and Dassault Systèmes. The security had nevertheless released revenue growth of 13.8% in the third quarter, announced on October 20, with net debt reduced to €1,279 million.
Over the week, the loss reaches 3.1%, and climbs to 22.2% over three months. Following the mid-October rebound, which had seen it break above €1.56, today's decline brings the price back below this level.
The share price remains below its medium-term moving averages, at 22% below the 200-day MA
In terms of moving averages, the share trades slightly above the 20-day MA (€1.50, a gap of 0.5%) but below the 50-day MA (€1.53).
The 200-day MA, at €1.94, remains very distant: the price is 22.3% below it. This gap reflects the downward trend established over recent months, with a decline of 51.7% over one year.
The RSI at 48 remains neutral and does not indicate oversold conditions. The support level at €1.41, lower than the floors seen in late September around €1.45, is the nearest level in case of a further decline, while resistance is situated at €1.59.
