Voltalia: Engie's former CEO Isabelle Kocher joins the board
The general meeting of shareholders of Voltalia, held on October 9, 2026, ratified the cooptation of Isabelle Kocher de Leyritz, former chief executive officer of Engie, as a director, and appointed Emmanuelle Lemer as an independent director. The chairman of the board of directors, Bertrand Cousin, linked these two appointments to the implementation of the group's Spring transformation plan.
Isabelle Kocher de Leyritz succeeds Laurence Mulliez on the board
Isabelle Kocher de Leyritz was cooptated in May 2026 to replace Laurence Mulliez, whose term ended following the general meeting of May 21, 2026.
During nearly twenty years within the Suez and Engie groups, she notably held the positions of chief financial officer, deputy chief executive officer and chief operating officer, then chief executive officer of Engie from 2016 to 2020. According to the press release, she led the group's transformation around decarbonization and the development of renewable energies.
Since 2022, she has been co-founder and president of Blunomy, a consulting firm dedicated to the transition towards decarbonized, circular and inclusive economic models.
A career as an investment banker in the energy sector
Of French and British nationality, Emmanuelle Lemer has more than twenty years of experience in the energy, infrastructure, municipal services and renewable energy sectors. She spent most of her career in international investment banking, where she advised major European and global companies on strategic and financial transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions, market operations, financings and restructurings.
From 2016 to 2023, she was chief executive officer at J.P. Morgan, responsible for investment banking activities in energy, municipal services and renewable energy for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. According to the press release, her appointment to the presidency of the audit committee takes into account her status as an independent director and her expertise.
Bertrand Cousin stated that the two directors will enrich the board's discussions "at a key moment in Voltalia's development". The group's next publication concerns third quarter 2026 revenue, scheduled for October 22, 2026 after market close.
