Vusion Share Halved in One Year, Rebounds More Than 2%
The manufacturer of electronic shelf labels is regaining ground on Friday, in a Paris market trending upward. This rebound comes after two sessions of decline and while the stock is still trading below its medium-term benchmarks. September half-yearly reports have also revived interest in the security.
A Rebound That Leaves the Stock Below Its Three Moving Averages
Vusion shares gain 2.17% to €122.60, compared to €120 the previous day, while the SBF 120 advances 0.94%. The stock remains, however, below its 20-day moving average (€124.07), its 50-day moving average (€126.37) and its 200-day moving average (€129.63), the latter being 5.42% above the current price. Support at €114.60 is located lower, resistance at €135 well above: the price is moving within a fairly wide range. Over one week, the stock still declines 5.18%, and over one year the decline reaches 50.56%.
The RSI at 43 remains neutral. The movement follows the publication of half-yearly results on September 21: revenue up 34% and adjusted EBITDA of €160 million. The group indicated it was maintaining its annual targets. The stock had surged more than 10% the following day, before giving back part of its gains.
An Accumulation of Short Selling Positions of 3.9% and Share Buybacks in the Background
Six funds cumulate 3.91% of capital in net short positions, according to filed declarations, a share stable over one month (-0.08 percentage point). This level shows that some institutional investors remain positioned against the stock or are seeking to hedge exposure, without any visible increase in selling pressure over thirty days. Conversely, the company repurchased €16 million worth of shares over twelve months, or 0.8% of its market capitalization, according to its latest declaration of July 17.
The stock is approaching its 20-day moving average at €124.07, the first benchmark to overcome to exit its configuration below the moving averages. Above that, the 50-day moving average is at €126.37.
