Vusion stock breaks through its 126 € support level and remains under pressure
In a Paris market already weakened by military escalation between Iran and the United States, Vusion ranks among the sharpest declines of the SBF 120 this Wednesday. The downside breach of the 126 € support threshold during the session concentrates attention on the technical configuration of the specialist in connected electronic labels.
The 126 € support broken during the session, the stock trading below its three moving averages
The Vusion stock falls 2.4% to 125.80 € during the session, after closing the previous day at 128.90 €. The stock has broken through its 126 € support on the downside and remains anchored there, which prolongs and intensifies the selling pressure accumulated over several weeks. Notably, the price now trades below its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at 129.78 €, the 50-day MA at 128.70 €, and the 200-day MA at 140.03 €, representing a gap of 10.16% from the latter.
This positioning below the three moving average references reflects a fundamental bearish dynamic that goes beyond a simple intraday correction, especially since the decline has reached nearly 14.5% over three months and 41.3% over one year. The RSI at 51 remains in neutral territory and does not yet signal any particular selling exhaustion, which leaves the deteriorated configuration without a clear reversal signal in the short term.
Short positions still elevated despite a slight pullback over the month
Against the backdrop of the rebound observed at the end of August which failed to sustain the recovered technical levels, institutional selling pressure remains significant. According to reported disclosures, six funds combine 3.99% of Vusion's capital in net short positions, a level that remains elevated even though this figure has declined by 0.84 percentage points over thirty days (it was at 4.83% a month ago). This moderate pullback signals that some players are reducing their bearish exposure, without the movement being substantial enough to speak of a capitulation by short sellers.
Combined shorts close to 4% of the capital indicate that institutional players remain positioned against the stock, which mechanically weighs on price dynamics. Furthermore, the VIX rises more than 10% during the session to 16.51, reflecting geopolitical tensions linked to the exchange of strikes between Iran and the United States, in a context where the CAC 40 declines 0.45% and the SBF 120 by 0.46%. The nearest resistance to watch for analysts following the file stands at 135.60 €, or more than 7% above the current price.
