Abivax stock among the most sought-after SBF 120 values despite −12.5% over one month
The biotech specializing in inflammatory diseases posts a marked recovery this Tuesday, reversing its trajectory of recent weeks. The rebound occurs as the stock remains heavily below its three moving averages, in a context of still significant short positions in the capital.
A rebound occurring within a sequence of significant losses over the month and week
Abivax stock gains 1.85% in trading at 85.40 €, ranking among the strongest advances of the SBF 120 in an index itself slightly in positive territory (+0.24%). This surge only offsets a portion of a severe decline: the stock has lost 5.79% over the past week and 12.32% over the month. On a one-year basis, performance remains positive at +21.48%, reflecting the magnitude of ground covered since 2025 levels.
Today's rebound occurs after Monday's session had brought the stock below the 81.45 € threshold, a level that constitutes short-term support. With a price returned to 85.40 €, Abivax crosses back above this floor, without however breaking through any notable resistance. The next significant resistance sits at 105.90 €, still very far away.
An RSI that rebounds slightly but moving averages still well above the price
The technical configuration remains unfavorable. The RSI at 30, in slight recovery from the extreme oversold levels observed in recent days (it had fallen to 26 on September 24), signals a slight easing of selling pressure without confirming a reversal. The three moving averages remain well above the price: the 20-day MA at 93.44 € represents a gap of 8.60%, the 50-day MA at 101.87 € and the 200-day MA at 102.17 € both display a gap exceeding 16%.
On the net short positions side, four funds cumulatively hold 4.47% of the capital sold short according to consulted disclosures, a proportion still elevated, although it has declined sharply: it reached 7.05% thirty days ago, representing a reduction of 2.58 percentage points. This partial easing of shorts may reflect share buybacks at lower levels, without being able to infer a change in direction from the institutional players concerned. The regulatory filing of obefazimod, presented during the half-yearly results published on September 21 as expected by end of 2026, remains the next fundamental milestone for the company.
