After -22% in three months, biotech Inventiva stock recovers 1.5%
The Burgundy-based biotech specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases rises slightly at midday, in a nearly stable SBF 120. This rebound comes after a month of sharp erosion, and the stock remains well below its medium and long-term benchmarks.
A modest rebound after a marked month of decline
The Inventiva stock advances 1.57% to €2.91 during trading, against an SBF 120 up 0.1%. This gain remains modest compared to the decline of 14.56% over one month and 22.12% over three months. The stock ranks among the strong gainers in the index, though this hardly warrants superlatives.
The previous surge on Friday likewise left the price well below September levels, and the 7.63% decline over seven days shows that the underlying momentum remains downward-oriented. The dual listing on Euronext Paris and on Nasdaq, in ADS form, does not change the picture: Paris remains the dominant venue for this security.
An RSI at 37 and a support level at €2.77 within reach
The price trades 5.37% below its 20-day moving average (€3.07), 19.53% below its 50-day moving average and 31.97% below its 200-day moving average: the gap widens as the time horizon extends. The support level at €2.77, approximately 4.6% below the current price, remains the near-term benchmark should the rebound lose momentum, while the RSI at 37 has just exited oversold territory without signaling a reversal. On the fundamentals side, the first-half 2026 accounts, published on July 30, show cash reserves of €166.1 million and no revenue for the period, compared to €4.5 million a year earlier.
The company indicates a cash runway limited to the end of the second quarter 2027 without additional financing. The €2.77 support level is the level to watch in the coming sessions.
