After nearly 44% surge in three months, Alten stock retreats 2%
The stock is losing momentum this Friday, following several weeks of strong gains that have pushed it away from its moving averages. The decline occurs in a rising Paris market, which accentuates the divergence.
A pullback that does not diminish the net rebound of the past week
The Alten stock fell 2.03% to €79.60 in early afternoon, after closing the previous day at €81.25. This decline remains modest compared to the distance traveled: the stock still shows a 12.4% gain over the week and nearly 44% over three months, levels reached following the publication of half-year results on September 25. The movement contrasts with the broader index performance: the SBF 120 is up 0.45% and the CAC 40 is up 0.48%. Alten thus ranks at the bottom of the extended index, seeking momentum after its rally.
The stock maintains a comfortable margin above its moving averages
The stock remains well above its 20-day moving average (€72.55), with a gap of 9.7%, and above its 200-day moving average (€65.00), representing a 22.5% advance. This distance illustrates the rebound achieved since the end of August. It is accompanied by an RSI at 68, close to the overbought zone.
Resistance at €82 has just been approached without being durably broken through, and it is this level that the stock is testing again following today's pullback. On the fundamentals side, the group has returned to organic growth in the first half of 2026, with improved margins and free cash flow.
