Arcadis Appoints National Grid Executive to Supervisory Board
Arcadis has announced the appointment of Carl Trowell to the supervisory board for a four-year term. This appointment will be subject to approval at the annual general meeting on May 20, 2026.
Leadership and Expertise Added to Arcadis Supervisory Board
Carl Trowell, currently President of Strategic Infrastructure at National Grid PLC and a member of the group's executive committee, has been appointed to join the supervisory board of Arcadis. Within National Grid, one of the world's largest utility companies, Carl Trowell leads a portfolio of electricity transmission projects in the UK and oversees global supply chain and construction functions. With a career spanning over 30 years in the energy, engineering, and project management sectors, he has held CEO positions at Acteon Group and Ensco, and spent a significant part of his career at Schlumberger. Carl Trowell will serve on the Audit & Risk and Sustainability committees.

Michiel Lap, the chairman of the supervisory board, will retire at the conclusion of the annual general meeting after 11 years of service. Peter de Wit, a board member since 2023, will succeed him as the chairman of the supervisory board. Deanna Goodwin will also leave the supervisory board after the general meeting, and Robert Swaak will take over her role as chairman of the Audit & Risk committee.
Based on the strong first-half performance and increased visibility from a record backlog, Arcadis upgraded its full-year 2026 organic net revenue growth guidance from flat to low-single-digit growth.
