Atos Appeals $297.9 Million Judgment in TriZetto Dispute
On Wednesday, Atos announced its intention to appeal the final revised judgment issued on April 29, 2026, by the Southern District of New York court. This judgment orders Atos and its subsidiary Syntel to pay $297.9 million (approximately €255.7 million) to TriZetto.
Appeal to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals
Atos filed its appeal on May 19, 2026, with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit against the judgment of the Southern District of New York court. This judgment confirms the prior decision made on March 27, 2026, and sets the total amount at $297.9 million, including post-judgment interest calculated until April 24, 2026, and subsequent interest at a rate of $21,604 per day. The group specifies that this decision does not have a significantly adverse impact on its assets, operations, cash flow, or financial position.
Establishment of a Bond to Suspend Execution
Atos has posted a supersedeas bond equal to the full amount of the judgment plus post-judgment interest, in accordance with applicable procedural requirements. This bond is secured by a cash deposit of $290 million (approximately €249 million), representing an additional $203 million compared to the amount already deposited in relation to this litigation.
