Atos Completes Digital Workplace Overhaul for 30,000 Orange Business Employees
Atos announced on October 20, 2026 the completion of the digital workplace transformation program for Orange Business, affecting nearly 30,000 users across more than 60 countries.
According to the press release, this is the first initiative of this scale aimed at outsourcing these services within Orange Business.
A Single "MyDesk" Portal Backed by a ServiceNow Platform
The program, dubbed "MyDesk", was conducted jointly by Atos and Orange Business. Employees now have access to a unified portal providing access to all workplace services: support, incident management, equipment requests and global service catalog.
The system combines centralized service centers with local support capabilities, including on-site support points called "tech bars". It is based on an IT service management (ITSM) platform built on ServiceNow, which consolidates legacy support chains into a single global operational model.
According to the press release, this consolidation enabled Orange Business to improve operational visibility and control, user autonomy and incident resolution times. The text also mentions cost optimization linked to service consolidation.
A Two-Year Migration Within a Contract Signed in Early 2024
The transformation is part of a seven-year contract signed in early 2024 between Atos and Orange Business. The migration took place over a period of two years.
The processes were largely redesigned. The deployment was carried out in successive stages: France first, then the main service centers, before expansion to other countries.
This phased approach was designed, according to the two groups, to ensure service continuity during the gradual transition to the new model.
Carbon Tracking, Sovereign Support and Generative AI Under Study
The contract includes tracking of the environmental footprint of the digital workplace, with a tool measuring emissions linked to services and equipment. It also provides for digital sobriety practices aimed at extending equipment lifespan.
A sovereign support model has been implemented for certain user populations with sensitive usage. Atos and Orange Business are also studying, as part of workshops, the use of generative artificial intelligence in the "MyDesk" environment; these capabilities are still under evaluation.
Emmanuel Berre, head of Orange Business's digital workplace environment, indicated that the two partners had built a unified environment based on market standards.
