Atos Joins France Cyber Maritime to Strengthen Cybersecurity in the Maritime Sector
Atos has announced its membership in France Cyber Maritime, an association dedicated to cybersecurity in the maritime, port and inland waterway sectors.
The group will contribute its expertise to the association's collective work, in a context of strengthened regulatory requirements linked to the NIS2 directive.
Membership in a Sectoral Cybersecurity Association
Atos announced on September 23, 2026 its membership in France Cyber Maritime, an association dedicated to strengthening cybersecurity in the maritime, port and inland waterway sectors. The group will put its expertise in cybersecurity, crisis management, cloud, AI and critical infrastructure operation at the service of developing the sector's cybersecurity framework.
Atos will also help the sector anticipate the transition to post-quantum cryptography, to ensure the protection of communications and sensitive systems. The membership comes in a context of digital transformation of maritime and port infrastructures, as the NIS2 directive strengthens requirements for security and incident management.
Risk Analyses and Experience Sharing
Atos' contribution will materialize through risk analyses, experience sharing, crisis exercises, architecture security and anticipation of emerging threats. The group will participate in France Cyber Maritime's collective work in a co-construction logic with sector players.
Atos will rely on its network of security operations centers (SOCs) and its capabilities in threat detection, investigation and response, including its Threat Research Center.
France Cyber Maritime and M-CERT Operations
Created in November 2020, France Cyber Maritime aims to provide answers in cybersecurity matters to the maritime and port world. The association operates the M-CERT, a national center dedicated to monitoring, analysis, information sharing and cyber assistance for maritime and port actors.
It has more than 90 members from the public sphere, coastal authorities, maritime and port operators, as well as cybersecurity solution providers.
