Bastide Completes the Sale of Experf to Italian Group Sapio
On Monday, Bastide Group announced the completion of the sale of its subsidiary New Medical Concept, the holding company of Experf Group (home infusion and nutrition), to the Italian group Sapio. The agreement signed on May 21 lifted all its suspensive conditions at the end of the month.
A Divestiture to Focus Resources
The finalization of this divestiture is part of a restructuring of Bastide Group's portfolio of activities. The operation is in line with the company's desire to focus its resources on areas considered most strategic and with higher added value, according to the press release. Vincent Bastide, CEO of the group, believes that this sale allows to 'crystallize the value created since the integration of Experf into the group' and to 'strengthen our financial structure'.
Sapio Strengthens Its Presence in France
For Sapio Group, this acquisition is a key step in its European expansion strategy. The Italian multinational, present in industrial and medical gases and home care services, plans to leverage Experf's territorial network in France to continue its growth in the home health services sector. Its presence in France will reach more than 140 million euros in revenue through this operation, complementing its existing structures Homeperf, Synapse Santé, and Synartis. According to the source, Sapio's total revenue is expected to exceed 1 billion euros once the acquisition is completed.
