Bnode appoints Nicolas Baise as head of Bpost, two executive committee members depart
The Belgian logistics group has entrusted the leadership of its most visible operational unit to its Chief Operations Officer, effective January 1, 2027, ending an interim period managed since May 2025 by the group's Chief Executive Officer. At the same time, Bnode announced on October 23, 2026, a simplification of its operating model as well as the end of its collaboration with its Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Digital Officer.
Nicolas Baise succeeds Chris Peeters' interim role
Nicolas Baise, currently Chief Operations Officer and member of Bnode's executive committee, will assume the role of CEO of the Bpost operational unit on January 1, 2027. He succeeds Chris Peeters, CEO of Bnode, who has been performing this function on an interim basis since May 2025, alongside his responsibilities leading the group. Bnode (formerly Bpostgroup) brings together three operational units: Bpost, Paxon and Landmark Global.
In his new role, Nicolas Baise will be tasked with continuing the implementation of Bpost's operational and commercial priorities as well as its transformation program. Until the end of the year, he will remain focused on the peak activity season in his current operational role. According to the statement, this appointment should enable the group to concentrate further on its transformation.
"Nicolas has played a key role in the transformation and operational performance of Bpost over the past years," said Chris Peeters.
Commercial leadership integrated into operational units
Christel Dendas, Chief Commercial Officer, and Frank Croket, Chief Digital Officer, both members of the executive committee, have agreed by mutual consent with Bnode to end their collaboration. The group indicates its wish to simplify its operating model and to further integrate commercial leadership within its operational units, in order to bring decision-making closer to customers and daily operations.
Frank Croket will remain with the company during a transition period to ensure handover. Bnode clarifies that its strategic priorities remain unchanged and that governance and organizational arrangements are in place for the next execution phase.
