Bouygues Telecom Partners with Aduna to Deploy Security APIs Internationally
Bouygues Telecom has announced the launch of its strategic partnership with Aduna, the joint venture founded by Ericsson and leading global telecom operators. This agreement allows the French operator to offer security and digital authentication services based on standardized API integration.
A Partnership Based on the CAMARA Standard to Simplify Integration
The partnership relies on the global CAMARA standard of the GSMA, which provides a common framework for standardized and interoperable network programming interfaces (APIs). This approach eliminates the technical complexity associated with exploiting network data on an international scale, which until now required fragmented and cumbersome developments.
Aduna includes more than 12 leading operators, including AT&T, Orange, Telefónica, Deutsche Telekom, and Vodafone, offering global reach for deployments to businesses. A national or international company can now query Bouygues Telecom's network capabilities via a single integration, without specific developments per operator.
Three Major Solutions Launched for Finance, E-commerce, and Social Networks
Bouygues Telecom is already supporting over 40 companies in the banking, insurance, and e-commerce sectors. By 2025, more than 5 million calls to these API services have been recorded.
Three solutions are already operational. 'Know Your Customer Match' enhances identity verification during account creation. 'SIM Swap Check' detects if a user's SIM card has been changed recently, during a bank transfer or an e-commerce transaction. 'Number Verification' allows banks, e-commerce sites, and social networks to instantly authenticate a user's mobile number. By the end of 2026, an enhanced version of Number Verification will be available, aimed at gradually replacing single-use code validation SMS.
