Bureau Veritas Announces New Appointments to the Board of Directors
Bureau Veritas has recently made significant appointments to its Board of Directors, appointing Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux as the Independent Lead Director.
New Role for Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux
According to the press release issued by Bureau Veritas, the Board of Directors, during its meeting on October 22, 2025, decided to appoint Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, starting December 13, 2025, as the Independent Lead Director, Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. This decision comes as a replacement for Pascal Lebard, who no longer meets the independence criteria according to the recommendations of the AFEP/MEDEF Code after twelve years of service.
Continued Roles and Responsibilities
On the same day, the Board of Directors also confirmed that Pascal Lebard would continue to serve as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Strategic Committee, and the CSR Committee. Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, who has been an independent director since 2023, will assume his new roles for the remaining duration of his term.
Board Composition and Independence
Bureau Veritas clarifies that the Board of Directors remains composed of 12 members, with an overall independence rate of 58%. These appointments are part of a strategy to renew and maintain the required independence criteria.
