Cafom: Semi-Annual Revenue Up 6.3%, Overseas Declines
Cafom Group, a major player in home equipment, reports an increase in revenue for the first half of 2025-2026, albeit with contrasting trends. While the e-commerce platform Vente-unique.com and its marketplace drive growth in continental Europe, the Overseas division faces the repercussions of a tense economic environment impacting discretionary spending. This dichotomy reveals a company in transition, caught between the European digital momentum and the structural challenges of overseas territories.
European E-commerce Strongly Accelerating, Overseas Lagging
The semi-annual revenue amounted to 235.3 million euros, up 6.3% compared to the first half of 2024-2025 (221.4 million euros). This overall growth conceals two distinct trajectories within the group. The Continental Europe e-commerce division recorded 112.5 million euros, up 15.8% for the period. This growth is primarily driven by the international expansion of Vente-unique.com, which accounts for 54% of the division's sales, along with the dynamics of the marketplace. Meanwhile, the Overseas activity is set at 122.8 million euros, down 1.2% compared to the first half of 2024-2025. The first quarter of the fiscal year had already shown a 5% increase, marking the acceleration of the second quarter as a trend of consolidation for the group.
Geographical Expansion to Counterbalance Local Fragilities
The expansion of Vente-unique.com reflects a strategy of multinational deployment. The platform is now active in the United Kingdom and Ireland, broadening its access to major European furniture markets. The opening of the marketplace in Scandinavia in April 2026 (Denmark, Sweden, Norway) brings the number of European countries where Vente-unique.com operates to 16. Conversely, the Overseas continues to navigate turbulent waters. The group is making structural adjustments: closing two But and Darty stores in Koné, New Caledonia in the third quarter, and focusing commercial presence around the two Nouméa stores. However, the group plans two Darty openings in La Réunion in the summer of 2026 and the launch of an e-commerce site dedicated to furniture sales in Australia.
