Carvolix establishes a subsidiary in Riyadh to manufacture its medical devices
The medical technology company, formerly Affluent Medical, has established a subsidiary in Riyadh, Carvolix Saudi LLC, as part of a French-Saudi cooperation project led by its majority shareholder Truffle Capital.
The announcement coincides with the visit to Paris of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
A medical devices manufacturing facility considered in Riyadh
Carvolix announced on August 24, 2026 the establishment of its subsidiary Carvolix Saudi LLC in Riyadh, held at 100%, with the objective of potentially establishing a medical devices production site in Saudi Arabia. The facility would aim to supply the Saudi, European, Asian and potentially North American markets.
The project is presented as the first stage of a long-term French-Saudi BioMedTech partnership led by Truffle Capital, founder and majority shareholder of Carvolix. The site would be dedicated to the manufacturing and quality assurance of medical devices for interventional cardiologists.
The company develops artificial intelligence-guided mini-robots and biomimetic heart valves. Its first product, the TAVIPILOT software, has already obtained FDA approval in the United States for aortic valve replacement, and its commercial launch is underway there.
Two-phase deployment and training of Saudi talent
The Saudi site would be developed in two phases. The first would focus on the manufacturing of the TAVIPILOT Robot, its single-use sterile cassettes and the adjustable mitral ring KALIOS, with commercial production scheduled to begin in 2028. The second phase would extend production to ARTEDRONE, MITRAPILOT devices and other Carvolix products.
At full capacity, the facility could create approximately 250 skilled jobs. The selection of the industrial site is underway and the financing structure is being developed, combining equity, debt and subsidies.
The project is accompanied by the SAF-MD training program, dedicated to Saudi talent, in collaboration with universities, training centers, hospitals and clinics in France and in the Kingdom. According to Sébastien Ladet, Chief Executive Officer of Carvolix, the establishment in Saudi Arabia is part of a long-term vision.
