Casino: In-Principle Agreement to Defer Quatrim Debt to January 2029
Casino announced progress on the Quatrim component of its financial restructuring plan. An in-principle agreement has been reached with a group of holders representing approximately 35% of this debt.
On September 21, 2026, the Casino group announced it had reached an in-principle agreement with a group of Quatrim bond holders representing approximately 35% of the Quatrim debt. This announcement follows a statement dated August 7 regarding discussions initiated with these holders as part of the plan to adapt and strengthen the financial structure. According to the main terms of the agreement, the maturity of Quatrim bonds would be extended by one year, from January 2028 to January 2029. The agreement also provides for the release of the guarantee granted by Ségisor in respect of these bonds.
10 Million Euro Repayment and Monoprix Guarantee Adjustment
The agreement provides for a 10 million euro repayment upon completion of the restructuring. Following this repayment, the Monoprix guarantee would be reduced by 10 million euros and its maturity extended by one year, to January 2029. The terms include an extension commission and a conditional extension commission, in addition to commissions paid to Quatrim bond holders who have given their consent. Additional details are presented in a document published on the group's website.
Contractual Documentation Under Finalization
The contractual documentation is expected to be signed in the coming weeks, prior to the voting by affected classes of parties in connection with the modification of the plans of Casino group entities. This step is part of the financial structure adaptation and strengthening process that the Saint-Etienne-based distributor intends to complete by the end of 2026.
