Cegedim Santé Integrates Free Medical AI Assistant into Its Primary Care Software
Cegedim Santé has deployed a conversational medical information assistant within its primary care software solutions. The tool is offered free of charge to users of Maiia Médecin, MLM, and Crossway solutions.
A Medical AI Accessible from Business Software
Cegedim Santé, a subsidiary of Cegedim Group, announced on September 29, 2026 the integration of the Assistant by Claude Bernard AI into its Maiia Médecin, MLM, and Crossway solutions. According to the company, the tool provides sourced answers to medical questions posed in natural language, takes into account the patient profile when entered in the medical record, and offers responses tailored to the healthcare professional's practice.
The assistant is accessible from the ED module, the virtual assistant already used in these software solutions. The responses are built from five reference sources: the Claude Bernard database, the French National Health Authority (Haute Autorité de Santé), Orphanet, the vaccination schedule, and drug interactions.
France-Based Hosting and Planned Extension to Physiotherapists
The Claude Bernard reference database contains 350,000 active references, updated daily by the publisher's scientific department. The system is hosted in France on a HDS-certified infrastructure, in compliance with GDPR, and its design incorporates the requirements of the European regulation on artificial intelligence (AI Act).
The functionality is available today, free of charge, to all users of Maiia Médecin, MLM, and Crossway. Its extension to Maiia Kiné users is currently being prepared. Benoît Garibal, Chief Executive Officer of Cegedim Santé, indicates that customers want "reliable medical AI, integrated into their daily tool" and describes this initiative as the group's vision in terms of innovation, "useful, controlled, and at the service of healthcare professionals".
