Insurance Fraud Prevention: Cegedim and Shift Technology Welcome WTW, €46 Million in Savings
Five years after launching their partnership in 2021, Cegedim Assurances and Shift Technology announced on October 7, 2026 the adoption of a new managing broker to their joint insurance fraud prevention solution for personal lines. According to the two partners, the initiative has generated more than €46 million in savings since its launch.
WTW, Second Managing Broker After Cegema
The announcement positions WTW as the second managing broker to join the ecosystem built by Cegedim Assurances, a business unit of the Cegedim Group, and Shift Technology. The first, Cegema, joined the initiative in 2025, according to a press release dated July 4, 2025.
The offering targets insurers, managing brokers, mutual associations and occupational pension funds. Shift Technology provides its artificial intelligence for detecting fraud suspicions, errors and anomalies. Cegedim Assurances connects this solution to its own tools and analyzes suspected cases.
The stated objective is to prevent suspicious payments and assist in the recovery of overpayments.
Around Fifteen Organizations and €14 Million in Savings in Six Months
The partners presented several activity indicators. The initiative counts around fifteen user organizations, covering more than 5 million protected individuals.
Of the savings claimed since 2021, €14 million has been demonstrated over the last six months, according to the press release. The initiative was initially adopted by risk bearers, before gradually expanding to all health and occupational protection insurance market players.
Expansion Towards Benefits Administration Managers
For Benoît Legros, VP EMEA & Asia at Shift Technology, WTW's arrival shows that fraud prevention "no longer concerns only insurers in the strict sense: it must be able to extend to all players involved in benefits management". Catherine Abiven, Chief Executive of Cegedim Assurances, sees this as confirmation of the "relevance of our joint positioning".
For WTW, Noémie Marciano, Director of Health and Social Protection in France, indicated that the broker brings its expertise as a manager "for the direct benefit of our clients and our insureds". WTW is listed on Nasdaq and present in 140 countries and markets.
The Cegedim Group, listed on Euronext Growth in Paris, achieved revenue of more than €649 million in 2025 and employs nearly 6,500 employees.
