Charwood Energy: its W&nergy subsidiary raises €1.92 million on Enerfip at 9% per annum
W&nergy, Charwood Energy's renewable energy production subsidiary, announced on September 30, 2026 the successful completion of its crowdfunding campaign conducted on the Enerfip platform. The operation is part of the group's diversification strategy, which aims to develop, finance, own and operate its own renewable energy production units derived from biomass.
Deployment of a proprietary model for renewable gas production
Charwood Energy, a French specialist in energy solutions from biomass valorization, indicated that its subsidiary W&nergy raised €1.92 million through its crowdfunding campaign on Enerfip. The group presents this operation as a milestone in W&nergy's development and in its diversification strategy, which now aims to develop, finance, own and operate its own renewable energy production units from biomass.
This direction has already been illustrated by the pyrogasification unit project developed for the Verallia group in Cognac. According to the press release, the installation at the Verallia site is expected to produce nearly 30,000 MWh of renewable syngas per year, from local biomass, to power a glass furnace. Ultimately, the unit is expected to cover approximately 20% of the furnace's energy needs and prevent approximately 6,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
The group states that this fundraising should enable W&nergy to continue deploying this proprietary model to other French industrial companies. The stated objective is to replicate this model at other energy-intensive industrial sites, by offering local renewable gas production tailored to each industrial company's specific needs.
Bonds at 9% over three years for €1.92 million raised
The operation, with an initial target amount of €2 million, involved standard bonds offering a gross annual interest rate of 9%, for a duration of three years, with repayment of principal at maturity. The minimum investment was set at €50.
W&nergy is Charwood Energy group's energy production subsidiary, created in partnership with the Eiffel Gaz Vert fund. Its mission, as described in the press release, is to develop, finance, own and operate renewable energy production facilities from biomass, by offering industrial customers long-term energy supply contracts.
Adrien Haller, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and founder of Charwood Energy, stated: "This successful fundraising marks a key milestone for W&nergy and for the entire Charwood Energy group. It enables us to move forward in deploying our model to other industrial companies." The group also indicated that the publication of its first half 2026 results is scheduled for October 26, 2026, after market close.
