Colruyt expands its food offering for children with 30 new products
As the school year approaches, Belgian retailer Colruyt has unveiled an expansion of its food offering for young children, centered around products whose packaging indicates the target age range.
Seven Boni products and 23 branded references added
Colruyt announced on August 20, 2026 the expansion of its assortment for young and very young children with seven new products from its Boni brand and 23 references from specialized brands.
The offering includes notably ABC wholegrain cereal biscuits, organic raisins in adapted portions, fruit compotes and dairy products with cereals, as well as other snacks designed for young children.
Some products are offered in smaller formats, such as 14 g portions of raisins compared to 25 g for a standard portion. Several references highlight a fiber content derived from fruits and whole grains, and organic certification for some of them.
The age range displayed on packaging
According to the retailer, the packaging mentions the age range for which each product is intended, in order to guide parents in their choices.
"At Colruyt, we want to help families make informed food choices," said Anne Vandenbergen, Customer Offer Manager at Colruyt, who links this approach to tailored offerings, information on packaging and formats corresponding to the needs of the youngest.
This initiative comes as Colruyt has continued several directions in recent weeks, including the rollout of its Colruyt Professionals stores, with the opening on August 5 of a retail location in Alleur.
