Damartex: net loss of €35.9 million in 2025-2026, weighed down by asset impairments

Revenue down and operating income declining

For the 2025/2026 financial year, the group's revenue stands at €503.5 million, down 3.4% at actual exchange rates (-2.6% at constant exchange rates). The group indicates that its various divisions experienced a decline in sales in the second half of the financial year, in a market context it describes as still unfavorable. Operating EBITDA came in at €14.0 million, compared to €15.8 million a year earlier, a decline of 11.0%. The group attributes this decrease to the slowdown in activity, non-recurring costs on the logistics side of the Home & Lifestyle division and recruitment fees for sales personnel within the Healthcare division. Current operating income fell from €2.1 million to €0.5 million, a decline of 75.2%. Net income stood at -€35.9 million, compared to -€17.7 million in the previous financial year, due to asset impairments of €24.9 million affecting the Healthcare and Home & Lifestyle divisions.

Performance varies across the three divisions. The Fashion division (Damart, Xandres), which accounts for €383.3 million, declined 1.6% at actual exchange rates, but its EBITDA increased to €14.9 million, up €1.6 million compared to the previous financial year. The group indicates that the Damart brand is recording an improvement in its margin and that Xandres is continuing its development. The Home & Lifestyle division (3 Pagen, Vitrine Magique, Coopers of Stortford) posted revenue of €91.3 million, down 11.1% at actual exchange rates. Its EBITDA came in at -€2.8 million, declining compared to the previous financial year. The group mentions a sluggish home furnishings market in Europe and a structural shift towards the digital channel. The Healthcare division (Almadia, Santéol, MSanté) recorded revenue of €28.8 million, down 0.9%, with EBITDA of €1.9 million in decline. The group specifies that Santéol continued its growth while Almadia was affected by reform on vehicles for disabled persons.

Stabilized financial position and new strategic direction

The net financial position stabilizes at -€119.3 million at the end of June 2026, compared to -€119.6 million at the end of June 2025. The group continued its investments (Capex of €11.4 million) while benefiting from proceeds from the sale of its 32,000 m² logistics real estate portfolio in Villeneuve-d'Ascq. Working capital requirement stands at €22.6 million, slightly lower compared to the end of June 2025. The Board of Directors will not propose a dividend distribution at the General Meeting scheduled for November 19, 2026. The group indicated that the presentation of annual results on September 9, 2026, would be an opportunity to draw up the balance sheet of the Dare.Act.Impact plan, now completed, and to detail its new roadmap aimed at strengthening the consistency of its offering, cleaning up the balance sheet and directing capital towards higher value-added activities. A review of the brand portfolio has also been initiated, with initial conclusions expected by the end of 2026.
