Dassault Systèmes Stock Declines Despite Oddo BHF Price Target Increase
The 3D design software editor is losing ground this Thursday morning in a declining CAC 40, even as Oddo BHF has just revised its price target upward. The stock is trading below its 20-day moving average and near its 50-day moving average, in a Paris market under pressure as volatility rises sharply during the session.
Oddo BHF Raises Its Target to €23.50 While Maintaining a Neutral Rating on the Stock
This Thursday morning, Dassault Systèmes is down 1.7% to €20.85, while Oddo BHF simultaneously publishes a revision of its price target from €22.00 to €23.50, while maintaining its rating at "neutral". Compared to the current price, the new target represents an upside potential of approximately 13%. The broker is therefore not changing its stance, but is revising its valuation upward on the stock.
This price movement contrary to the target adjustment illustrates the pressure weighing on the entire CAC 40, down 0.87% during the session, in a context of a sharp increase in the VIX, whose intraday variation reaches approximately 14.6%. When publishing the results for the first half of 2026 on July 23rd, the company had confirmed its outlook for the current year, citing "good performance in the second quarter".
A Stock Near Its 50-Day Moving Average at €20.93, Below Its 20-Day Moving Average for Several Sessions
The technical configuration of the stock deserves attention. The price at €20.85 is slightly below the 20-day moving average at €21.31 (difference of -2.16%), with which it had already been under tension in recent sessions, including the rebound on Monday, September 21st which had briefly challenged the 50-day moving average. Today, the stock is practically at the level of this 50-day moving average at €20.93 (difference of only -0.38%), a threshold that has constituted a weakening signal once the price crossed it downward. The 200-day moving average at €20.14 remains well below the current price (difference of +3.53%), offering a more distant technical floor.
The RSI at 52 for its part remains in neutral territory, without any marked oversold signal. The support identified at €20.17 had been tested during the September 17th session. Over one month, the stock is down 7.04%, but still shows a rebound of nearly 20% over three months, reflecting a recovery undertaken over the summer that is now encountering resistance at €23.09.
