DBV Technologies Share: -31% in Three Months, Short Sellers Strengthen Their Positions
The Châtillon biotech company's stock is losing ground in early afternoon trading, while the SBF 120 advances. The filing of the regulatory dossier in the United States, announced two days ago, has not altered the underlying trend.
A Share Trading Below Its Three Moving Averages, Close to Its €1.96 Support Level
The DBV Technologies share is trading at €1.93 and declining 1.68% compared to the previous day, while the SBF 120 gains 0.45%. The decline is part of an established dynamic: -16.8% over one month, -31.18% over three months. The price is below its MA20 (gap of -10.37%), its MA50 (-16.58%) and its MA200 (-37.64%).
It is now trading below its €1.96 support level, a threshold already broken downward in the previous session. The RSI at 37 remains below the neutral zone without reaching oversold territory. The filing of the license application with the FDA for the anti-peanut patch, announced on September 30, had given rise to a rebound that was immediately erased. This rebound was wiped out as early as the following session, and the share fell back below €2.
Short Positions at 4.4% of Capital and Financing Secured Until Third Quarter 2027
Four funds cumulatively hold 4.40% of capital sold short, according to available filings, representing 0.89 percentage points more than a month ago. This increase comes on top of an already elevated level: institutional investors remain positioned negatively on the stock while the U.S. dossier enters the review phase. The 30-day increase remains modest and does not, by itself, signal generalized lack of confidence.
When publishing first-half 2026 results on July 16, the company indicated that its cash position would allow it to finance its operations until the third quarter of 2027. It is not generating revenue at this stage, and its trajectory depends on the FDA's response to its application, for which a priority review has been requested. The share is listed in Paris in the form of ordinary shares, eligible for the PEA, and on Nasdaq in the form of ADSs (1 ADS for 5 shares).
