Derichebourg stock touches its support at €8.36, prolonged decline
The ferrous metal recycling group's share price intensifies its decline on Monday, in a quasi-stable SBF 120. Selling pressure builds on the back of a downward trend that has been underway for several weeks, and the price is now approaching a closely monitored technical threshold.
A decline of 1.41% that brings the stock to its support at €8.36
Derichebourg drops 1.41% to €8.39 during the session, while the SBF 120 moves in balance (+0.07%). The stock thus finds itself among the most neglected values in the index. The fall is part of a continuous downward dynamic: -6.73% over one month and -13.73% over three months.
This movement contrasts with a still largely positive twelve-month performance (+58.96%), a remnant of a rally that is now well underway. The price is approaching the support threshold at €8.36, less than 0.4% from the current level, practically at this barrier. The downside breach of a previous support at €8.68 had already been recorded on Wednesday, September 23, confirming the progressive decline of the stock. A move below €8.36 would open the way to the next inverted resistance, while a rebound would only regain credibility near the €9.44 resistance, which is more than 12% above the current price.
An RSI in the lower zone and all moving averages above the price, the technical picture remains under pressure
The RSI at 36 approaches the oversold zone without clearly entering it, reflecting a selling exhaustion that has not yet reversed. This configuration is confirmed by the price position: it is trading below its three moving averages, respectively at €9.02 (MA20, gap of -7.04%), €9.15 (MA50, gap of -8.36%) and €8.85 (MA200, gap of -5.25%). The stock is thus under pressure across all timeframes, with the MA200 being the closest but still above the price. On a fundamental basis, according to the consensus of surveyed analysts, Derichebourg trades at approximately 8.8 times the expected earnings for the current fiscal year, a modest valuation that reflects short-term uncertainties.
When publishing the H1 2026 results (on May 28, 2026), management adopted a cautious tone, mentioning "certain difficulties encountered during the second half of the past fiscal year" and pointing to Middle Eastern geopolitical vigilance as a risk factor. The gradual increase in scrap volumes, supported by regulatory mechanisms of the MACF and CBAM, was nevertheless among the recovery prospects identified on that occasion. The support at €8.36 remains the key technical element to monitor for the remainder of the session.
