EMEIS Stock Falls Over 2% and Tests Its 20-Day Moving Average
Emeis stock declines during the session, in a downward trending SBF 120. The stock erases part of its weekly advance while maintaining a solid annual gain. This movement occurs in a deteriorating French macroeconomic context.
A Session Decline Bringing the Stock to the Brink of Its 20-Day Moving Average
EMEIS stock falls 2.25% to €14.75 at midday, after closing at €15.09 the previous day. The decline brings the price to the brink of its 20-day moving average (MM20) at €14.79, a threshold that was crossed upwards in recent weeks and is now being tested in the opposite direction. The stock remains above its 50-day moving average (MM50) at €14.10 (+4.61%) and its 200-day moving average (MM200) at €13.82 (+6.73%), meaning that the medium-term trend is not compromised by today's session. The RSI at 57 indicates a neutral configuration, without excessive selling or buying pressure. Moreover, the stock still holds a year-on-year gain of 42.79%, which puts the intraday movement into perspective. In the short term, the support level at €13.39 remains the lower boundary to watch if the decline continues.
A Session Affected by the Marked Deterioration of the French Economic Situation
The decline coincides with a 0.89% drop in the SBF 120 and a 0.91% fall in the CAC 40. The release of the French Flash Composite PMI on May 26, at 43.5 compared to 47.6 in April, marks the lowest level since November 2020 and weighs on the entire Parisian stock market. The volume of new business shows its strongest contraction in five and a half years, while cost inflation reaches a peak since March 2023. On the operational front, the organic growth of 6.3% published in the first quarter on May 7 and the confirmation of the EBITDAR 2026 guidance (growth of more than 10%) remain recent benchmarks for the healthcare services group. Jean-Marc Boursier will take up his role as Deputy CEO on July 1, while retaining his position as CFO. The crossing of the MM20 at €14.79 will be the technical reference to follow for the return of the bullish dynamics.
