Eutelsat Communications shares rebound and rank among SBF 120 gainers
Eutelsat Communications posts a rebound at the close on Wednesday, recovering some of the ground lost the previous day. The share ends in positive territory while European markets close in red, amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
A rebound at close after breaking below intraday support
Eutelsat Communications gains 2.1% to €1.78 at close, after hitting an intraday low of €1.68, momentarily breaking below its support at €1.74. The share ultimately recovered above this threshold before the end of trading, which softens the bearish reading of the day without erasing the fragility of the configuration. This partial rebound occurs as the SBF 120 fell 0.3% at close, placing Eutelsat among the strongest gainers in the index for the session.
However, this is insufficient to offset the ongoing deterioration: the share is still down nearly 13.5% over one month and more than 53% over three months, remaining well below its three moving averages. The price is thus 10.78% below the 20-day MA at €1.99, and over 25% below the 200-day MA at €2.37, reflecting a fundamental downtrend clearly oriented downward.
Berenberg initiates a hold opinion with a €2 price target on Eutelsat
Berenberg published an analyst opinion on the matter today, with a "hold" opinion and a price target of €2.00. This level represents an upside potential of approximately 13% compared to the closing price of €1.78, but remains well below levels from three months ago. The RSI at 28 signals a configuration close to oversold, which coincides with this end-of-session rebound without validating a lasting inflection.
As a reminder, upon publication of FY 2025 annual results on August 5, 2026, the company highlighted the growth of LEO business to €297 million, now representing 25% of total revenue, as well as a reduction in net debt of €1.16 billion. The structural decline of the GEO segment remains, however, identified as a persistent risk for the 2026-2027 fiscal years. Resistance at €2.22 constitutes the next level to monitor if the rebound momentum were to be confirmed.
