Florentaise: revenue down 49.4% in the first quarter, China accounts for more than 80%
Florentaise published consolidated revenue of €4,229k for the first quarter of its 2026-2027 fiscal year on October 30, 2026, compared with €8,358k a year earlier, a decrease of 49.4%. This quarter reflects the new scope of the soil manufacturer following the end of its Terreaux Grand Public and Professionnels France activities at the end of 2025.
In the same press release, the group announced that the publication of its 2025-2026 annual results, initially expected before the end of October 2026, has been postponed to a later date.
France soil revenue down 93.9% after the cessation of activities
For the period from July 1 to September 30, 2026, the France soil business generated €219k in revenue, compared with €3,618k a year earlier, a decrease of 93.9%. According to the company, this decline mainly explains the 49.4% drop in consolidated revenue.
This decrease follows the company's restructuring and the cessation, at the end of 2025, of 5 of its 9 sites in France. Only 15 employees were retained, at the sites of Baupte (mushroom substrates), Combrée (slate and clay mulches), Labouheyre and Saint-Mars-du-Désert (wood fibers and bark).
International soil activity recorded €3.5 million, compared with €4.3 million, down 17.7%. Rental income from the BIVIS activity rose 5.4% to €498k from €473k, while the BIVIS royalty fell from €65k to €56k, a decrease of 13.9%.
International now accounts for the bulk of sales
With €3,512k out of a total of €4,229k, the International soil business now makes up the bulk of the group's revenue. The company specifies that China represents more than 80% of group revenue and describes it as a strategic market.
The 17.7% decline in international activity comes against a high comparison base: the first quarter of 2025-2026 had recorded growth of 137% compared with the previous fiscal year. The company presents this trend as a normalization of activity following that reference quarter.
The revenue breakdown has therefore shifted over one year. In the first quarter of 2025-2026, France and international showed similar levels (€3,618k and €4,267k); one year later, France soil represents only €219k, an amount below BIVIS activity revenue (€498k).
This concentration on a key market is the main change in profile highlighted by the publication: the group's business now depends predominantly on its sales in China.
2025-2026 annual results postponed, general meeting set for November 19
Florentaise has decided to delay the release of its 2025-2026 annual results, which were due before the end of October 2026. The group cites the company's reorganization and the late publication of the 2024-2025 accounts.
In a press release dated October 8, 2026, the company had announced the convening of its general meeting, called in particular to approve the 2024-2025 accounts, on November 19, 2026 in Saint-Mars-du-Désert.
The accounts for the year ended June 30, 2025, published on October 8, 2026, were certified by the statutory auditors with three reservations, accompanied by an emphasis of matter regarding material uncertainty related to going concern.
According to the press release, additional time will be needed for the teams and the statutory auditors to complete their due diligence on the year ended June 30, 2026, Florentaise stating its wish to present “sincere and reliable” results.
Quarterly revenue thus stands at €4,229k, compared with €8,358k a year earlier, with China representing more than 80% of group sales.
