Gold by Gold Establishes Its First Physical Gold Reserves Eligible for PEA
Gold by Gold, a French company listed on Euronext Growth, has completed the acquisition of its first physical gold reserves following a capital increase of €1.5 million completed in June. According to the press release, the company becomes the first listed company in France eligible for the PEA to establish 'responsible' gold reserves.
Acquisition of 10.5 Kilograms of LBMA-Certified Gold
Gold by Gold has purchased from Argor-Heraeus, one of the world's leading refiners, 10 bars of 1 kilogram and 5 bars of 100 grams of gold with a purity of 999.9 millesimal fineness. These reserves consist exclusively of bars certified by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), a global benchmark guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of each bar. This standard provides these reserves with total liquidity in global markets. The gold reserves are stored in France in secure vaults managed by professional third parties, according to the highest security standards in the sector. This acquisition marks the launch of Gold by Gold's strategy focused on the long-term patrimonial accumulation of physical gold.
Association of Fairmined Credits with Each Gram of Gold
For every gram of gold stored, Gold by Gold associates a Fairmined Credit, which pays a direct premium to artisanal and small-scale mines certified according to Fairmined standards. Functioning like renewable electricity certificates, these credits directly fund the certified producers, without certifying the gold itself but the mine that produces it. The cost per Fairmined Credit represents about 1% of the value of the underlying gold acquired. This association reflects the group's commitment since its inception: recognizing that gold extraction is legitimate but should not impose the human and environmental cost solely on the mines.
Investment, the Primary Source of Gold Demand
Patrick Schein, founder and CEO, highlights that this operation responds to the evolution of the market: the primary source of demand for gold is no longer jewelry but investment. The strategy establishes an alliance between the institutional character of the LBMA and the social responsibility of the extractive industry. For shareholders, this structure offers a first indirect exposure to physical gold in a tax-advantaged setting through the PEA and PEA PME-ETI.
