HRS signs three-year strategic agreement with Baker Hughes on hydrogen
HRS announced on August 3, 2026 the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with Baker Hughes, a specialist in energy technologies. This three-year partnership aims to develop integrated compression solutions and hydrogen infrastructure for mobility and industrial markets in Europe and internationally.
A cooperation framework based on complementary expertise
The agreement establishes a three-year working framework enabling HRS to combine its expertise in hydrogen system integration, storage, distribution and refueling with Baker Hughes' compression technologies, notably its VerHy550 vertical compressor designed for high-capacity hydrogen applications.
The two companies will work on optimizing the technical and economic performance of infrastructures, with emphasis on energy efficiency, equipment availability, maintenance, total cost of ownership reduction and industrial standardization.
Creation of next-generation refueling stations
The partnership provides for the development of an offering combining Baker Hughes' compression solutions with HRS' infrastructures, with the initial objective of creating Hydrogen Filling Centers (BHRS-FC) and next-generation hydrogen refueling stations.
The two companies are also exploring the potential of joint research and development projects within the framework of European innovation funding programs related to hydrogen.
A non-exclusive cooperation model preserving independence
This agreement is based on a non-exclusive cooperation model allowing both companies to collaborate on a project-by-project basis while maintaining their commercial and technological independence.
