Lleida.net Sets Record with 791 New Sign-ups in June
The Spanish technology company Lleida.net recorded 791 new client sign-ups in June, the highest monthly figure in its history, boosted by the mandatory application of a Spanish law requiring certified email notification before any civil legal action. This surge in demand follows a year 2025 already marked by strong financial growth.
A Record of New Registrations Driven by a Favorable Legal Context
Lleida.net recorded 791 new client sign-ups during the month of June, surpassing the previous record set in April (751). This number represents a 102% increase compared to the 391 new sign-ups in the same month the previous year, and an 11% increase over the 714 registrations in May. Out of these 791 new sign-ups, 684 converted into active clients, resulting in a conversion rate of 86.5%.
The acceleration in recruitment is focused on the certified email service. Since April 3, 2025, Organic Law 1/2025 in Spain requires an attempt at extrajudicial settlement to be accredited before initiating any civil or commercial legal action. The courts in various Spanish jurisdictions have progressively recognized Lleida.net's certified mail as an accepted means of proof to establish this negotiation attempt. Several provincial courts (Navarre, Gipuzkoa, Ourense) have explicitly equated Lleida.net's certified mail with a burofax, while others (Zaragoza, Granada) have rejected cases supported by standard email correspondence.
2025 Results Boosted by This Regulatory Momentum
The company closed the fiscal year 2025 with strong results. EBITDA reached 4.05 million euros, a 25% increase from the previous year, while net profit grew by 41% to reach 1.245 million euros. According to the company, these figures are the best results in its history.
Lleida.net operates as a qualified provider of trusted electronic services under the European eIDAS regulation, a certification that the company obtained in 2018 as the first Spanish company. The technology formally recognizes the identity of the sender, the effective delivery, the complete content of the message, and the exact date and time of transmission.
Potential Market Expansion Beyond Spain
Approximately 3.5 million civil judicial procedures are processed annually in Spain and are subject to this legal requirement. The company anticipates an extension of this obligation for certified notifications to other jurisdictions in the coming years, which would increase the potential market accessible by its technology. The model thus relies on a base of judicial and professional clients exposed to a recurrence of transactions (sending multiple certified notifications before each legal action).
