Madrid: Listed Real Estate Company Divests Asset for €1.95M and Repays €1.26M in Debt
The real estate investment company listed on Euronext finalized on October 7, 2026, by notarial deed, the sale of properties located in Madrid's historic center. The transaction was accompanied by the repayment of mortgage debt secured by these assets.
Twelve Tourist Apartments Sold on Calle de la Cruzada
The property sold is located at 1, calle de la Cruzada, in Madrid. According to the press release published on October 9, 2026, the transaction involved a ground floor commercial space comprising 12 tourist apartments, in a location that the company describes as "prime" within the historic center of the Spanish capital.
The total sale price amounts to €1.95 million. The information was disclosed pursuant to Article 17 of European Regulation No. 596/2014 on market abuse and Article 61004/2 of the Euronext Rule Book I.
€1.26M in Mortgage Debt Repaid, Properties Free of Encumbrances
As part of the transaction, €1.26 million in mortgage debt secured by the divested properties was repaid and the corresponding mortgages were released.
The properties were thus transferred free of any encumbrance, which, according to the company, strengthens its balance sheet.
New Acquisition in Madrid Underway
Genesis R.E.I.T. indicates it remains focused on expanding its portfolio and progressing in the acquisition of another real estate project in Madrid.
