Magnum Ice Cream Company Launches Ben & Jerry's Production Line in Germany
The ice cream group has commissioned a new production line dedicated to Ben & Jerry's at its Heppenheim site in Germany, as part of a €30 million expansion program. The initiative aims to meet rising European demand for the brand.
It is part of the group's strengthening of its industrial presence in Europe.
A New Pint Production Line at Heppenheim
The group has commissioned a new production line at its Heppenheim plant in Germany, as part of a €30 million site expansion program. This line produces references such as Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
According to the group, this investment strengthens its manufacturing capacity in Europe and brings production closer to consumers. The site works alongside other European units producing Ben & Jerry's, including Hellendoorn (Netherlands) and Gloucester (United Kingdom).
Heppenheim, the Group's Largest European Factory
Heppenheim is the largest plant in The Magnum Ice Cream Company's European network. Spanning 100,000 square meters, the site serves as a manufacturing and distribution hub for the German market and neighboring markets.
Alongside the new Ben & Jerry's line, other ongoing local investments focus on logistics, cold storage and energy infrastructure. According to the group, the site's expertise (66 years of ice cream manufacturing) and its central location in Europe motivated the choice of Heppenheim for the expansion of Ben & Jerry's production intended for the European market.
