Medincell shares among the weakest in the SBF 120 despite +12.5% over one month
The Montpellier-based biopharmaceutical company is declining mid-session, in a Paris market also oriented downwards. The share nevertheless remains better positioned than in early October, following the surge caused by American approval of a formulation developed with Teva.
A decline of 2.75% that leaves the share at the level of its 20-day moving average
At €25.50, Medincell loses 2.75% compared to the previous close at €26.22, while the SBF 120 drops 0.72% and the CAC 40 0.8%. The share ranks at the bottom of the index, but this decline remains moderate given its recent trajectory: the 22% surge on October 9 following FDA approval was followed by consolidation sessions, and the share gains 12.6% over one month. This dynamic places the price 5.3% above its 50-day moving average (€24.21) and 2.5% above its 200-day moving average (€24.89), while it falls slightly below its 20-day moving average (€25.65), at less than 1% difference.
The RSI at 50 is neutral, which corresponds to a breathing movement rather than a trend reversal. Over one year, the share nevertheless records a decline of 24.7%.
Secured financing and a high projected P/E ratio in the background
On the fundamentals side, the company announced on October 13 a new loan of €13.8 million with no dilution, bringing to €41.8 million the secured financings since July. The valuation file remains demanding: according to the consensus of analysts surveyed, the share is trading at approximately 927 times expected earnings for the current fiscal year and 49.5 times those of the following fiscal year. The analyst opinions are available to position the share relative to its price targets. On the technical side, support at €21.40 and resistance at €29.06 frame the current price.
