Merlin Properties: Its LOOM Events Azca Hall Awarded at Eventoplus Awards 2026
Merlin Properties' events division, LOOM Events, has been recognized at the Eventoplus Awards for its LOOM Events Azca venue, located in Madrid's business district. This award reflects the group's positioning in the corporate events venue and organization segment in Spain.
A Madrid Venue Dedicated to Corporate Events
LOOM Events, Merlin Properties' events division, received the award for Best National Event Venue 2026 at the Eventoplus Awards, as part of the twenty-first edition of this industry recognition program.
The LOOM Events Azca site, located in the Ruiz Picasso 11 building, in the heart of Spain's capital financial district, comprises over 2,800 m² dedicated to events and can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
The award-winning category recognizes, according to the press release, a venue's ability to add value to events through its facilities and services, flexibility, versatility, design and production capabilities, as well as the quality of technical equipment and responsible practices.
A Positioning on Large-Scale Corporate Events
Designed by architect Fenwik Irribarren, the venue features three large halls (Gaudí, Picasso and Murillo), which can operate independently or together, as well as auxiliary rooms, an in-house production kitchen and terraces with direct access to the Azca gardens.
According to Merlin Properties, LOOM Events has more than 1,000 clients and hosts over 800 events each year. The opening of LOOM Events Azca in 2025 is presented by the group as a turning point, with the addition of a venue intended to compete in the large-scale corporate events segment.
"This award recognizes our approach to events, in which the venue plays a fundamental role, while acknowledging the work of the team of professionals who support it," said David Martínez, director of LOOM Events.
