Mersen stock slides below its 50-day moving average, among the strongest declines on the SBF 120
The specialist in carbon materials and electrical solutions is losing ground during the session, in a Paris market clearly oriented downwards. The stock is among the worst performers in its index and falls back below two short-term moving averages.
A decline that places Mersen in the bottom tier of the SBF 120
The Mersen stock loses 3.55% to €38.58, compared to a 1.32% decline for the SBF 120 and 1.34% for the CAC 40. The stock is among the index's sharpest declines, having already fallen 4% last Thursday, and it drops 6.22% over the week. Over this period, the movement remains tempered by a gain of 8.43% over three months, so the value maintains an advantage over its medium-term trend. The session takes place in a Paris market that retreats following weekend violence, while the ten-year OAT reaches 4.79% according to the latest Banque de France reading.
The 50-day moving average at €39.58 gives way and the 200-day moving average at €33.73 remains well below the price
On the chart, the price falls below the 20-day moving average (€41.07, a 6.06% gap) and slips below the 50-day moving average at €39.58, or 2.53% above the current level. The stock remains however 14.38% above the 200-day moving average, which preserves a comfortable margin over the long-term trend. The RSI at 48 is neutral: it signals neither oversold conditions nor momentum exhaustion.
The decline brings the stock toward its support level of €36.18, approximately 6% below the current price. First half 2026 results, published on July 30, remain the company's next financial milestone.
