Nacon: Observation Period Extended Until September 2, 2026
Nacon announced on Wednesday the extension of its observation period in the context of its judicial recovery procedures. The Lille Métropole Commercial Court has extended this period until September 2, 2026, allowing the video game publisher to finalize its restructuring plan.
Nacon continues its work on developing a recovery plan that includes restructuring its liabilities. This plan must be submitted for the vote of the creditors, grouped into classes of interested parties, and then to the court. The observation period, initially opened by order on March 2, 2026, has been extended until September 2, 2026. Two subsidiaries of the group, the video game development studios Cyanide and Kylotonn, also benefit from an extension of their own observation period until September 30, 2026. These two entities had been placed under judicial recovery on March 30, 2026.

A third subsidiary of the group, the development studio Midgar Studio, declared its insolvency on May 26, 2026, and has requested the court to open a judicial recovery procedure in its favor. Nacon indicates that it will keep the market informed of the evolution of its situation and the progress of the ongoing procedures.
