Nanobiotix stock lagging the SBF 120, down 27.5% over one month
The Parisian biotech company specializing in nanomedical oncology is posting a sharp decline this Friday, marking the worst performance of the SBF 120 in the morning session. The decline adds to an already heavy sequence over the month, while the Paris market is evolving in the green.
Lagging the SBF 120 with an RSI in pronounced oversold territory
Nanobiotix declines 4.25% to €24.32 in trading, thus posting the strongest drop in the SBF 120, while the broader index advances by nearly 1%. The stock is thus falling well below its previous support level at €25.40, a level that had been broken to the downside the day before. Over one week, the decline reaches nearly 13%, and over one month it exceeds 27%, in a dynamic that has not reversed despite several rebound attempts since mid-September.
The price is trading well below its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €30.01, the 50-day MA at €32.81 and the 200-day MA at €28.66, with the latter now representing a gap of more than 15% above the current price. The RSI at 29 reflects a marked oversold configuration, without this having been sufficient to trigger a lasting rebound in recent weeks. Over twelve months, the stock nevertheless retains a gain of nearly 50%.
Treasury of €110.9 million and bearish bets rising rapidly on the capital
When publishing its half-year update on September 24, 2026, Nanobiotix reported treasury of €110.9 million, compared to €52.8 million at the end of December 2025, fueled by a capital increase of approximately €86 million completed in May 2026. The company estimated at the time that it had sufficient financing to fund its operations until 2029, which reduces the risk of short-term dilution for shareholders. The radioenhancer NBTXR3 (JNJ-1900) is being developed in partnership with Johnson & Johnson.
In parallel, according to disclosed statements, two funds now cumulate 1.26% of the capital sold short, a position that has advanced by 1.26 percentage points in thirty days from a near-zero level. This rapid increase in short positions merits close monitoring: it signals a resurgence of interest from institutional investors to bet against the stock, although it is not possible to know the precise reason. The next benchmark for the price dynamic remains resistance at €38.60, more than 58% away from the current price.
