Netgem: its Pleio platform selected for Vodafone's new TV service in the United Kingdom
Netgem is becoming the operator of the new television and entertainment service launched under the Vodafone brand in the United Kingdom. Beyond providing the technology, the Paris-based group also ensures the development, operation of the service and the supply of content.
A multi-year agreement around the PLEIO platform
Netgem (Euronext Growth Paris, ALNTG) announced on September 3, 2026, before market opening, that its PLEIO platform had been selected by VodafoneThree to provide the new television and entertainment service marketed under the Vodafone brand in the United Kingdom.
The group was also retained to develop and operate the service, as well as to provide the content. The agreement is presented as multi-year. The service is accessible to new customers as well as existing customers subscribing to a fixed or mobile Internet offer from Vodafone.
Live television, streaming and cloud gaming combined
The service brings together live television via Freely, with national channels BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, video on demand, streaming, music and video games. In addition, there are more than 150 additional channels covering entertainment, cinema, news, sports, music and youth themes.
A premium video-on-demand service is offered, as well as a cloud gaming catalog with more than 300 playable titles available via streaming on television, without a console. All content is indexed in a single catalog, and the recommendation engine based on artificial intelligence draws its suggestions from across the platform.
A single partner for technology, content and operations
The platform is available on Android TV, with a companion mobile application for iOS and Android that transforms the smartphone into a remote control or game controller. It synchronizes personalized recommendations, favorites and game progress between devices.
Mathias Hautefort, Chief Executive Officer of Netgem, indicated that the television service was now operating in the United Kingdom on the PLEIO platform and was operated by the group's teams, according to the "Watch / Stream / Play" model. He emphasized that bringing together the platform, content and operations with a single partner gives Netgem responsibility for the service as a whole.
