A Usufruct Agreement for the Treemont Project

Nextensa has signed a long-term usufruct agreement with the EIB Group to house the future premises of its permanent representation in Brussels within the Treemont project. The building is located on Montoyer Street, in the heart of the Leopold district, one of the most sought-after office locations in the Belgian capital.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for the redevelopment of the Treemont project, demonstrating the appeal of sustainable, high-quality office buildings in Brussels. The move is planned for the second quarter of 2028.

A High-end Building with a Wooden Structure

Nextensa will redevelop Treemont through the partial demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new high-end office building with a wooden structure. The urban planning permit was obtained at the beginning of June.

The new building will offer approximately 3,000 m² of office space spread over seven floors, each floor having a clear height of nearly 2.90 meters. The ground floor will feature a clear height of nearly 4 meters, creating a visual connection between the street and the private interior garden.

Displayed Energy and Environmental Performance

Treemont aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint through the use of high-efficiency energy systems, the preservation and reuse of part of the existing structure, and the use of wood from sustainably managed forests. The wooden construction will allow for the storage of captured CO2 within the building.

Heating and cooling without fossil fuels, solar panels, a green roof, and an intelligent water recovery system will enhance the sustainable performance of the project. Upon completion, the building will aim to achieve the BREEAM Design 'Excellent' certification and full compliance with the European taxonomy criteria.
