Orange Stock, Worst Performer in the CAC 40, Approaches Support Level After -10.5% Decline in One Month
Orange records the poorest performance in the Paris index, while the market advances significantly. The telecommunications operator extends a pullback that has been underway for several weeks and approaches a monitored technical threshold.
A Decline That Intensifies Far From Moving Averages and Near Support
The Orange share loses 3.44% to €13.74 in mid-morning, in a CAC 40 that gains 0.81%. Orange stock, worst performer in the CAC 40, approaches its support level after -10.6% in one month, and it trades 5.7% below its MA20 (€14.57), 10.8% below its MA50 and close to 17% below its MA200. The support at €13.71 is now just a few cents away from the current price, and an RSI of 38 signals a configuration still far from oversold territory. Today's decline is part of a Paris market dominated by tension over French government debt, with a 10-year OAT at 4.90% according to the Bank of France survey dated October 8.

Two brokerage firms revised their opinion on the stock on October 7. Barclays lowered its price target from €16.50 to €15.50 while maintaining an inline weighting, while JP Morgan raised its target from €22.50 to €22.60 while remaining overweight. The gap between the two targets is considerable, but both remain above the current price. On fundamentals, the group raised its annual targets when publishing H1 2026 results on July 28, with double-digit growth in Africa and the Middle East (+13.9% in revenue), and cited Orange Business's 3.1% decline as a point of weakness.
