Parrot: First Orders on US Army Platform, Selected for New Phase of SRR Program
The French micro-drone manufacturer announced in a press release published on October 12, 2026, the first orders recorded on the US Army's new UAS Marketplace procurement platform. It also indicated that it had been selected for the industrial maturity evaluation phase of the Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) program.
Nearly 2 Million Dollars in Orders via UAS Marketplace
Launched in March 2026, the UAS Marketplace platform enables military units, government agencies, and allied partners to compare and purchase systems previously evaluated according to their operational needs. Access is subject to US Army qualification and compliance procedures, which include technical and cybersecurity assessments. The press release presents this system as a competitive procurement channel, providing operational units with greater flexibility than traditional acquisition programs. Parrot joined the platform in the third quarter of 2026 and recorded nearly 2 million dollars in orders for ANAFI UKR systems, its tactical reconnaissance micro-drone. The group indicated that it is implementing an operational organization targeting delivery timeframes of approximately two weeks for US units and other eligible customers. Manufacturing of its products is carried out in the United States and South Korea.
SRR Program: Parrot Selected Among Five Manufacturers for Next Phase
The next-generation SRR program aims to equip section-level units with lightweight drones intended for real-time intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Following flight tests conducted in June 2026, Parrot was selected among five manufacturers, alongside four American companies, to proceed to the Manufacturing Readiness Assessment phase.
This selection process focuses on both the operational performance of the systems and the industrial capacity to ensure their large-scale deployment. The group contextualizes these announcements as a continuation of its relations with American defense: it had already participated in the SRR program since 2019, and its ANAFI USA drones have been adopted by several federal agencies as well as public safety services and law enforcement forces from different states. Parrot describes the platform and the program as "two complementary development pathways": direct access to operational orders on one hand, competitive selection programs for future deployments on the other.
For Chris Roberts, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, this combination "represents an important milestone for Parrot in the American market". The group, which employs more than 450 people, achieved a turnover of 80 million euros in 2025, primarily internationally.
