Poxel appoints Laure-Hélène Mercier as Chair of its Board of Directors
Lyonnaise biopharmaceutical company Poxel is replacing Sophie Jacq Lapointe at the head of its board of directors, a change that comes as the group continues to roll out its Continuation Plan.
The cooptation takes effect immediately and will be subject to ratification at the next shareholders' general meeting.
Assumption of duties effective September 3, 2026
Poxel has announced the cooptation of Laure-Hélène Mercier as Chair of its board of directors, effective September 3, 2026, replacing Sophie Jacq Lapointe.
According to the company, this governance change aims to strengthen financial oversight, governance and dialogue with the market and shareholders, alongside the work conducted by Chief Executive Officer Yves Decadt to enhance the value of the company's assets.
The cooptation as a director will be subject to ratification at the next shareholders' general meeting.
A profile from finance and biotechnology
Laure-Hélène Mercier holds an MSc in neurosciences from Aix-Marseille University, an MBA from ESSEC and the AMP from INSEAD. She has over twenty years of experience in the biotechnology industry and financial markets.
After beginning her career as an equity analyst specializing in the pharmaceutical sector, she joined Innate Pharma in 2007, where she held various responsibilities in investor relations, finance and strategy. She notably served as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board.
The board of directors expressed its thanks to Sophie Jacq Lapointe for her contribution during the implementation period of the new governance and monitoring of the Continuation Plan.
