Schneider Electric stock among CAC 40's strongest gainers, +4% in one week
The Rueil-Malmaison equipment manufacturer's share is gaining momentum this Friday, with the CAC 40 up around 1% during the session, despite a backdrop of tightening sovereign rates in France. The increase brings the stock close to its technical resistance level, continuing the rebound that began in mid-September.
A rebound that brings the stock to the doors of its 301.75 € resistance level
Schneider Electric gains 2.82% to €300.85 during the session, ranking among the CAC 40's strongest gainers in a broadly well-oriented Paris market. The increase places the stock less than one euro away from its 301.75 € resistance level, which it has not yet broken through. Above its three moving averages, the stock shows a gap of nearly 4% compared to the MA20 (289.33 €) and just over 3% above the MA50 (291.05 €), reflecting solid bullish momentum in the short term.
Over the week, the gain reaches nearly 4%, and over three months, the gain stands at 8.75%, confirming that the decline from mid-September has been largely recovered. The RSI at 53 remains in neutral territory, with no overbought signal, leaving technical room before any potential pause. The 272.05 € support level now appears clearly distant from the current price.
Record order book and raised guidance from first half 2026 results
On the fundamental side, the half-year results published on July 31, 2026 had provided a solid foundation: management had then raised its targets for the fiscal year, relying on strong demand for its electrification, automation and digitalization solutions, as well as an order book described as at a record level. This message of confidence continues to support the stock's perception, in an environment where the French market remains under budgetary pressure. The 10-year OAT has returned to 4.90%, at its highest level since 2002 according to the Banque de France reading as of October 1, and the 2027 budget bill, presented on October 1 to the National Assembly, aims to maintain the deficit at 5% of GDP with adoption still uncertain.
This environment weighs on several French stocks sensitive to rates, even though Schneider Electric, whose activity is predominantly international, is advancing against this backdrop this morning. The 301.75 € resistance level represents the immediate technical obstacle to watch.
