SES stock rebounds, +19.5% in one week and among SBF 120 gainers
The Luxembourg-based satellite operator is recovering during trading and features among the top performers on the Paris exchange, while the SBF 120 is also advancing. The rebound follows a new favorable opinion from Goldman Sachs, published on October 19.
A rebound that extends the week's recovery but leaves the stock far from its summer levels
The SES stock gains 2.83% to €4.29, placing it among the strongest gainers in the SBF 120, within an index that advances by 0.51%. Over seven days, the stock rises by 19.78%, a movement that has brought it back above its 20-day moving average (€3.94, with a price 8.84% above). It remains, however, below its 50-day moving average (€4.35, a difference of 1.47%) and well below its 200-day moving average at €5.98.
The dividend explains part of the performance over the period: the stock has traded ex-dividend since October 13, following the payment of an interim dividend of €0.25. The performances cited here take this into account, with -3.65% over one month and -36.63% over three months.
Goldman Sachs sets a price target of €7 and SES announces a series of operational developments
Goldman Sachs published on October 19 a buy recommendation on the stock, with a price target of €7, representing potential upside of approximately 63% from the current price. Details of analyst opinions and consensus can be found on the SES analyst opinions page. On the operational front, SES Space & Defense, a 100%-owned subsidiary, announced on October 20 that it had deployed in orbit the payload of its final test of its space relay service for NASA, as part of the American agency's Communications Services Project. The group had previously agreed in early October to repurchase €363.4 million of its 2027 bond at 97.33% of par value.
